Reimagining Leadership

At Evangelical Alliance, we are working to see new leaders emerge who model the way of Jesus in the public square. Reimagining Leadership means caring about the place where God has put us, speaking hope and living differently in public life. It means contributing towards the good, the true and the beautiful across Northern Ireland and beyond.

We have developed two pathways for people who want to join us in this vision through our Research Assistant and Public Leadership Programmes.

Do you want to help shape church, politics and culture in Northern Ireland?

Do you have a passion to see a strong and healthy Church and a faithful Christian presence in the public square? How about an internship with Evangelical Alliance?

Over the past six years, we have developed an Internship Programme that has equipped and released emerging leaders to model faith in the public square. By becoming members of our team for a year, our Research Assistants are involved in shaping and delivering the work of Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland.

Applications for 2018/19 are now closed and we are not actively recruiting. Please do contact the office if you would like to find out more about future opportunities to serve with us.

Public Leadership Programme

Public Leadership is about equipping and encouraging Christians to live out the God story in a way that changes culture – by intentionally and strategically taking a lead. Public leaders are ordinary Christians who are a voice for good, serving those around them, and a voice for God, publicly following God’s calling on their life.

The Public Leadership Programme is a pioneering initiative developed by Evangelical Alliance, with cohorts established in Scotland and England.

Beginning in Autumn 2018, our year long programme will gather 12-15 emerging leaders in their 20s and 30s from diverse sectors, including law, the arts, media, business, politics, education, healthcare and the third sector. Over two overnight residential experiences and monthly evening sessions, you will have the opportunity to think deeply and reimagine your leadership in the public square.

We have drawn together a bespoke programme for the course with teaching delivered by inspiring homegrown leaders. Content includes the exploration of character, calling, competency and calling.
