On this week’s episode of Think Friday, we are without a video and we apologise for that. However, we want to take this opportunity to promote our current series on Apologetics. We have a series of articles and videos promoting various topical issues and interviews of people in Christian ministry. The series really springs from 1 Peter 3:15, “In your hearts honour Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defence to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.”
Richard, one of our Research Assistants kicks off our series with an ‘Apologetic for Apologetics’, which simply answers, ‘What is Apologetics?’ You can read Richard’s response here. Secondly, Paul Coulter, a former lecturer in Theological studies, argues why Apologetics is an integral discipline for the Church and his response can be read here. Professor John Gillespie answers the delicate topic of God and Suffering which can be read here.
We also have a video interview with Brian Auten, who is the director of Reasonable Faith Belfast, and he shares his story about his journey towards Apologetics. He also answers how the Church has benefited from Apologetics and why it is important in a day of intellectual skepticism. Brian Auten has a Masters degree in Apologetics and has interviewed over 150 apologists worldwide. His interview can be viewed here.
Coming up we have an interview with Mitch from Crown Jesus Ministries and will be published very soon so keep an eye out for that on social media. Our final post coming up is a signpost to direct members of the Church to various organisations that seek to develop those with an interest in Apologetics and Evangelism. If you know anyone who would benefit from that please do pass it on.
We hope and pray that you will be greatly enriched!
