As part of TheCompassion Project we want to draw attention to the work of Christians Against Poverty.
The issue of debt often accompanies the Christmas season, with January bringing with it anxiety over mounting bills and credit card statements that have resulted from the expenses of Christmas.
We spoke to Emma Jackson from CAP to hear how they work to help people struggling with debt by empowering them to take control of their finances and become, and remain debt free.
Rebecca Higgins’ also shares her story about how CAP brought hope to what felt like a hopeless situation and helped her journey out of debt.
CAP are passionate about releasing people from a life sentence of poverty, debt, unemployment and addiction. Over the years they have seen lives truly transformed, with 93% of their clients remaining debt free long after CAP’s support has come to an end.
